We cover the issues. You make it possible.
As a registered 501(c)(3), we rely on contributions from individuals to continue our mission of empowering the next generation of reporters.
For 2018, we're undertaking a fundraising initiative to raise upwards of $20,000. These funds would not only help us to more frequently publish deeply reported long-form investigations into the issues that matter to you, but to launch the careers of budding journalists.
Your donation will go towards:
- Financially supporting budding investigative reporters to work on deep dives into issues important to the public. These long-form articles can cost upwards of $5,000 each to produce.
- Creating and implementing educational initiatives that allow our experts to properly train and mentor young journalists.
- Providing knowledge and tools to small, local publications that need additional resources.
We're looking to build on our successes. Our first ever investigation won the 2015 Donald Robinson Award for Investigative Journalism, given by the American Society of Journalists and Authors. Chris Francescani, who reported "License to Spy," went on to become a frequent contributor for the Washington Post, ABC News, and others. Our stories have appeared nationally in publications such as the Guardian, New York Post, Huffington Post, and Fusion.
We know we can continue to build on this success. We just need your help.
