How to Use All My Tweets

Hate it or love it, social media platforms, perhaps none moreso than Twitter, have become a driving factor for many a news stories.

That’s why the website, All My Tweets, has become an indispensable reporting tool, especially so when reporting on public figures.

It’s a living database of every tweet that is still live on the platform–and you can search it by user.
And, luckily, it’s quite simple and straightforward to use.

To begin, just head to almytweets.net and log in through your own Twitter account.
Now, let’s imagine your writing a story on the dominating news of the day. In this case, we’ll imagine your working on a story about the Trump campaign’s ties to Russia.

So you want to run a search to see how often, and in what context, Donald Trump has tweeted about Russia.

Type “realdonaldtrump” into the search bar. His every tweet–going back until the account has been active–will appear on the screen.

Then, it’s a simple search and find function to find tweets mentioning Russia in some form (i.e. “ctrl+F+Russia”).
